Updated 5 October 2026. We make the Flissie Perimenopause Supplement, which competes with Menopace, so we have an interest, and ours is marked as ours wherever it appears. This review compares what is on each Menopace label: ingredients, doses, claims and cost, from Vitabiotics' own website on 4 October 2026. We have not taken Menopace, and this is general information, not medical advice. If symptoms are affecting your life, see a GP.
Vitabiotics calls Menopace “the UK's number one menopause supplement brand”, and the range has grown to six formulas with similar names and very different prices. Here is what is in each one, what each costs a day, and who each suits, so you can compare them without reading six labels.
At a glance
Menopace review: the quick answer
Quick answer: Vitabiotics Menopace is a range of six vitamin and mineral supplements, from about 20p a day for Menopace Original in a 90 pack to about 93p a day for Menopace Max. All six are built on the same kind of multivitamin, with 10mg of vitamin B6 and soya isoflavones in every daily dose, and the dearer ones add sage and green tea, red clover, calcium, or hops and chamomile. Vitabiotics' health claims for all six are for the vitamins and minerals in them.
Which suits you depends on what you want in it:
- The lowest cost: Menopace Original, one tablet a day, £7.55 for 30 or £18.25 for 90.
- Sage and green tea with your multivitamin: Menopace Plus, £16.75 for 28 days.
- Calcium: Menopace Calcium, 700mg a day, £12.95 for 30 days.
- Red clover: Menopace Red Clover, £22.95 for 28 days, or Menopace Max with calcium as well, £25.95.
- One tablet in the evening: Menopace Night, with hops and chamomile, £13.75 for 30 days.
If you would rather have a supplement with no soya, red clover or animal ingredients, our pick is the Flissie Perimenopause Supplement (we make it): KSM-66 ashwagandha at 600mg a day, vitamin B6 and nine other botanicals, in vegan capsules. The first month is free on subscription, then it renews automatically at £29 a month until you cancel.

Why you can trust this review
- Who wrote it: Phillippa and Matthew, the founders of Flissie, which we run from Derbyshire.
- Our bias, stated: we make the Flissie Perimenopause Supplement, which competes with Menopace, so we mark it as ours wherever it appears and say where Menopace is the better choice.
- No payment: Vitabiotics did not pay for this review, and none of the links earn us money.
- How we compared: what is on each Menopace label: ingredients, doses, claims and cost a day, from Vitabiotics' own website on 4 October 2026. We have not taken Menopace.
- What we checked claims against: the GB Nutrition and Health Claims Register and the ASA's guidance on menopause claims. General information, not medical advice.

The two-part packs do not say how many of each tablet or capsule they hold, so their cost a day assumes an even split: 28 days of Plus or Red Clover at two a day, and 28 days of Max at three a day.
Menopace ingredients: what every formula is built on
The base is a one-a-day Menopace multivitamin with 22 nutrients. Per tablet, Menopace Original lists vitamin B6 10mg (714% of the NRV), vitamin D 10µg, vitamin A 750µg, vitamin E 30mg, vitamin C 45mg, thiamin 10mg, riboflavin 5mg, niacin 20mg, folic acid 400µg, vitamin B12 9µg, biotin 30µg, pantothenic acid 30mg, magnesium 100mg, iron 6mg, zinc 15mg, copper 1mg, manganese 0.5mg, selenium 100µg, chromium 50µg and iodine 225µg, plus soya isoflavone extract 20mg and PABA 25mg.
Plus and Red Clover use that same tablet. Calcium and Max use a two-tablet version with calcium 700mg, more soya isoflavones (100mg) and slightly different amounts of a few nutrients. Night uses its own version, with more vitamin D (25µg), B12 and selenium, no PABA, and hops, chamomile and soya extract.
Three things are the same in all six: 10mg of vitamin B6 a day, soya, and no vegan option. Vitabiotics says all Menopace products are vegetarian friendly but not vegan, and the capsules in Max and Red Clover contain lactose. Several labels also say they are made in a site that may handle nuts.
Menopace Original, Plus, Max, Night, Calcium and Red Clover, one by one
Menopace Original
Menopace Original ingredients are the base described above: 22 nutrients and 20mg of soya isoflavones. You take one tablet a day with your main meal, on a full stomach. It is £7.55 for 30 tablets, about 25p a day, or £18.25 for 90, about 20p a day, and Vitabiotics offers 20% off on subscription. Vitabiotics says it can be taken during perimenopause and after the menopause, including by women who have an early menopause or have had a hysterectomy, for as long as required. Menopace Original side effects are not listed; the label asks you to consult your doctor or pharmacist first if you are under medical supervision, have epilepsy, a thyroid condition or haemochromatosis, or have food allergies.
Menopace Plus
Menopace Plus pairs the Original tablet with an Active Botanical tablet. The Menopace Plus ingredients in that second tablet are soya isoflavone extract 100mg, sage extract 250mg, green tea extract 50mg and flaxseed lignans 50mg, which Vitabiotics counts as 26 nutrients in all. It is £16.75 for 56 tablets, 28 days at two a day, about 60p a day. Vitabiotics does not list Menopace Plus side effects, but its label says each botanical tablet contains 4mg of caffeine, that it is not recommended if you are sensitive to caffeine, and that it should not be taken when fasting or alongside other products containing green tea.
Menopace Calcium
Menopace Calcium is two tablets a day with your main meal, giving calcium 700mg (88% of the NRV), vitamin D 10µg, magnesium 100mg and soya isoflavones 100mg among 24 nutrients. It is £12.95 for 60 tablets, 30 days, about 43p a day. Calcium carries an authorised claim, “Calcium is needed for the maintenance of normal bones”, and this is the cheapest way to get it in the Menopace range.
Menopace Night
Menopace Night is one tablet after your evening meal. The Menopace Night ingredients add hops extract 50mg, chamomile extract 50mg and soya extract 50mg (20mg isoflavones) to a multivitamin with 25µg of vitamin D, more than the Original's 10µg. It is £13.75 for 30, about 46p a day. Vitabiotics says Night is “intended to be used on its own i.e. instead of other Menopace products, NOT as an addition”. Menopace Night side effects are not listed, and Vitabiotics makes no claim for the hops or chamomile.
Menopace Red Clover
Menopace Red Clover pairs the Original tablet with a capsule of Menoflavon red clover extract 100mg, providing 40mg of isoflavones, and green tea extract 25mg. The capsule contains lactose. It is £22.95 for 56, 28 days at two a day, about 82p a day.
Menopace Max
Menopace Max is two of the calcium tablets plus the red clover capsule each day, so it combines calcium 700mg, soya isoflavones 100mg and red clover isoflavones 40mg. It is the dearest Menopace, £25.95 for 84, 28 days at three a day, about 93p a day. The Menopace Max ingredients include lactose in the capsule, and we could not read its full directions or warnings on Vitabiotics' site, so check the pack. Menopace Max side effects are not listed.
Menopace or Wellwoman Perimenopause, and where ours fits
Vitabiotics also sells Wellwoman Perimenopause, which people often compare with Menopace. Here they are side by side with ours, which is first because it is our pick if you want a supplement without soya.
| What it is | Botanicals a day | Vitamin B6 a day | Soya | Vegan | Cost a day | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flissie Perimenopause Supplement (ours, our pick without soya) | Botanicals with vitamin B6, 3 capsules | KSM-66 ashwagandha 600mg and nine others | 2.07mg | None | Yes | Free for the first month on subscription, then 97p |
| Vitabiotics Menopace Original | Multivitamin, 1 tablet | Soya isoflavones 20mg | 10mg | Yes | No | 20p to 25p |
| Vitabiotics Menopace Plus | Multivitamin and botanical tablet | Sage 250mg, green tea 50mg, soya isoflavones 120mg in all | 10mg | Yes | No | 60p |
| Vitabiotics Wellwoman Perimenopause | Multivitamin, 1 tablet | Ashwagandha extract 25mg (equivalent to 250mg), sage equivalent to 100mg, green tea 50mg, soya isoflavones 20mg | 10mg | Yes | No | 33p |
On a phone, swipe the table sideways to see every column.
Wellwoman Perimenopause is £9.95 for 30 tablets. It has more vitamin D than Menopace Original (20µg) and adds vitamin K, so its label says anyone on blood thinners should not take it except on a doctor's advice, and it is not for use in pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Our perimenopause supplements roundup compares eight products in more detail.
The Flissie Perimenopause Supplement (ours, our pick without soya)

Three vegan capsules a day, made in the UK to GMP standards; the tub says Hormone Health. We make it, so read this section with that in mind.
Why it is our pick if you want to avoid soya: every reason is on a label you can check. Every Menopace formula contains soya, and Max and Red Clover contain lactose; ours has no soya, no red clover and nothing from animals. It is the only product on this page that names KSM-66, a branded ashwagandha root extract, at 600mg a day. And it costs nothing to try for the first month on subscription, after which it renews automatically at £29 a month until you cancel.
Where Menopace is the better choice: Menopace is a multivitamin and ours is not, so if you want vitamin D, iron, iodine or calcium, Menopace has them and we do not. It is far cheaper, at 20p to 25p a day for Original against our 97p. And it suits more people: ours is not for anyone on hormonal contraception or with a hormone-sensitive condition.

Where to buy Menopace, and where to read Menopace reviews
Vitabiotics sells all six on its own website, at the prices above, with 20% off on subscription. Superdrug listed Menopace Original at £4.99 for 30, Plus at £17.29 and Night at £14.99, all in a 3 for 2 on vitamins, but every one showed “no longer available online” on 4 October 2026. Boots, Holland & Barrett and Amazon UK also list Menopace, but their pages would not load for us, so we could not check their prices.
Most Menopace reviews from buyers sit on those retailer pages. Superdrug showed 46 Menopace Original reviews, 16 Menopace Plus reviews and 13 Menopace Night reviews, without a star rating we could read. An article on Perry, first published in 2021 and last updated in June 2022, quotes Holland & Barrett reviews at 4.5 out of 5, with no review count, so treat that as an old snapshot. Reviews tell you how buyers felt; they cannot tell you what a supplement will do for you.
Menopace side effects and cautions: what the labels say
Vitabiotics does not publish a list of Menopace side effects, and we could not find one on any of its pages. What its labels do give are cautions, and a few are worth knowing before you start.
- Vitamin B6: every Menopace daily dose has 10mg. The NHS says not to take more than 10mg of vitamin B6 a day in supplements unless advised to by a doctor, so Menopace reaches that on its own. Check any other supplement you take for B6.
- Who should ask first: the labels ask you to consult your doctor or pharmacist before using it if you are under medical supervision, have epilepsy, a thyroid condition or haemochromatosis, or have food allergies.
- Allergens: all six contain soya, Max and Red Clover contain lactose, and several labels say they are made in a site that may handle nuts.
- Green tea and caffeine: Plus contains 4mg of caffeine per botanical tablet, and its label says not to take it when fasting or with other products containing green tea.
- Iron: the labels warn that iron taken in excess may be harmful to very young children, so keep packs out of reach.
- Combining Menopace products: Night is meant to replace other Menopace products, not to be taken with them.
The NHS also warns that some herbal remedies may cause serious side effects when taken with other medicines, so if you take any prescribed medicine, ask your pharmacist before you start.
What Menopace is allowed to claim
Every health claim on the Menopace pages hangs on a vitamin or mineral, not on the soya, sage, red clover, hops or chamomile. The headline one is “Vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity”, which is an authorised claim, alongside claims such as magnesium helping to reduce tiredness and fatigue, and calcium being needed for the maintenance of normal bones.
That is not Vitabiotics being cautious; it is the law. Under UK rules a food supplement cannot claim to prevent, treat or cure a disease, and the advertising regulator's guidance on menopause claims says menopause and perimenopause symptoms can count. In March 2026 the Advertising Standards Authority ruled against ads for several menopause supplements that claimed to treat symptoms, and some that implied they could stand in for HRT. No supplement, Menopace or ours, is an alternative to HRT.
On the botanicals themselves, the NHS says herbal remedies and complementary medicines such as red clover are sometimes sold for menopause and perimenopause symptoms, “But there is very little evidence to show how well they work, or how safe they are.”
What we will not tell you
We will not tell you whether Menopace works for you, and we will not tell you the Flissie Perimenopause Supplement works either. Neither is allowed to claim it relieves menopause symptoms, and none of the botanicals in either has an authorised claim. We will not tell you that ours replaces HRT, eases hot flushes, helps you sleep or balances your hormones, because that is exactly what the ASA has ruled against. What we can tell you is what is on each label, and what each costs.
Where a supplement is not the answer
If symptoms are affecting your life, see a GP: the NHS suggests contacting your GP if you think you have menopause or perimenopause symptoms and want to know your options, and its treatment page covers HRT and the other treatments it offers. Separately, the NHS advises everyone to consider 10µg of vitamin D a day in autumn and winter, which Menopace Original provides and ours does not.
Menopace: your questions
Does Menopace work, and is Menopace any good?
As a multivitamin, Menopace Original is good value, at 20p to 25p a day for 22 nutrients. Whether it helps with symptoms is not something its label claims: Vitabiotics' health claims are for the vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin B6 contributing to the regulation of hormonal activity, and the NHS says there is very little evidence on how well herbal remedies work. If symptoms are affecting your life, see a GP.
How long does it take for Menopace tablets to work?
Vitabiotics does not say, and we found no timescale on any of its pages. It says Menopace can be taken for as long as required, with no maximum length of time, and it makes no claim that Menopace relieves symptoms. A GP can tell you what to expect from the treatments that are licensed for menopause.
What are the side effects of Menopace?
Vitabiotics does not list side effects. Its labels ask you to check with a doctor or pharmacist first if you are under medical supervision, have epilepsy, a thyroid condition, haemochromatosis or food allergies. Every daily dose has 10mg of vitamin B6, the most the NHS says to take from supplements unless a doctor advises, and Plus contains a little caffeine.
Can you take Menopace with HRT?
Vitabiotics says Menopace does not contain any hormones and can be taken with or without HRT. The NHS warns that some herbal remedies can cause side effects when taken with other medicines, so check with your GP or pharmacist before you start.
What is the difference between Menopace and Menopace Plus?
Menopace Plus is the Original tablet plus a second, botanical tablet with sage extract 250mg, green tea extract 50mg, flaxseed lignans 50mg and soya isoflavones 100mg. Vitabiotics counts 26 nutrients in Plus against 22 in Original. Plus is £16.75 for 28 days, about 60p a day, against 20p to 25p for Original.
Which Menopace should I take?
Which Menopace suits you depends on what you want in it, so compare the labels: Original for the lowest cost, Calcium for 700mg of calcium, Plus for sage and green tea, Red Clover or Max for red clover, and Night for one tablet in the evening. If you take medicines or have a health condition, ask a pharmacist before you choose.
Is Menopace vegan?
No. Vitabiotics says all Menopace products are vegetarian friendly but not vegan, and the capsules in Max and Red Clover contain lactose. The Flissie Perimenopause Supplement (we make it) comes in vegan capsules, with no soya or red clover.
Does Menopace contain soya?
Yes. All six Menopace formulas list soya, as soya isoflavone extract and in their vitamin E. The Flissie Perimenopause Supplement (we make it) contains no soya and no red clover, if you would rather avoid both.
How much is Menopace?
On vitabiotics.com on 4 October 2026: Original £7.55 for 30 or £18.25 for 90, Calcium £12.95, Night £13.75, Plus £16.75, Red Clover £22.95 and Max £25.95. For comparison, the Flissie Perimenopause Supplement (we make it) is £29 for 30 days, with the first month free on subscription, then it renews automatically at £29 a month until you cancel.
What is in Menopace Night?
One tablet with hops extract 50mg, chamomile extract 50mg and soya extract 50mg, providing 20mg of isoflavones, plus vitamins and minerals including vitamin D 25µg and vitamin B6 10mg. You take it after your evening meal, instead of other Menopace products, not with them.
Which Menopace has red clover?
Two: Menopace Red Clover and Menopace Max. Both include a capsule with 100mg of Menoflavon red clover extract, providing 40mg of isoflavones, and 25mg of green tea extract. The capsule contains lactose.
Is Menopace or Wellwoman Perimenopause better?
They are both Vitabiotics multivitamins with 10mg of vitamin B6 and soya. Wellwoman Perimenopause, £9.95 for 30, adds ashwagandha extract 25mg (equivalent to 250mg), sage and green tea, more vitamin D and vitamin K, so it is not for anyone on blood thinners unless a doctor advises. Menopace Original is cheaper and has no vitamin K.
Can you take Menopace with other vitamins?
Check the totals first. Menopace already gives 10mg of vitamin B6, the most the NHS says to take from supplements a day unless a doctor advises, plus iron and other minerals, so a second multivitamin can double them up. Plus should not be taken with other green tea products, and Night replaces other Menopace products rather than adding to them.
