Woxer and TomboyX use US letter sizes, and neither maps them to UK dress sizes on the pages we read, so measure your waist and hips and use each brand's chart.
Buying Woxer in the UK
Woxer ships to the UK from California, and it has a UK version of its site, woxer.com/en-uk, with prices in pounds. Its help centre says it ships “everywhere in the world from California”.
Woxer UK prices in pounds
The UK site shows the same numbers in pounds as the US site shows in dollars: the Baller 5 inch boxer brief is £48 in the UK and $48 in the US, so UK prices are not a currency conversion. When we checked, every Woxer page showed a 50% off sale, with the Baller and Star 3 inch at £24 and the Biker 9 inch at £26, and 15% off three or more. Woxer's help centre still says it “displays and collects payments in USD”, so check the currency at checkout.
The core Woxer underwear styles, Star, Baller, Baller High Waisted and Biker, are 95% modal and 5% spandex with an organic cotton gusset, in XS to 4XL, sized by waist and hip in inches: a 4XL is a 46 to 48 inch waist. On 4 October 2026 most sizes of the black Biker were sold out on the UK site, as was every size of the black Star.
Woxer delivery to the UK, and import charges
The UK site offers free shipping on orders over £115. Woxer's own pages disagree on this: its help centre gives free shipping for the rest of the world over $150, and an older page says $99. Below the threshold, the cost is worked out at checkout. Woxer does not give a current delivery time for the UK; its shipping page still carries a COVID notice of 9 to 21 weeks for international orders, which looks out of date.
On import charges, Woxer's help centre says: “For countries outside of the U.S, we do not collect duties and taxes on your order, as they are determined and collected from you by your local customs authority.” Under UK rules, an order of £135 or less should have UK VAT added by the seller at checkout, so look at your checkout total and at any bill from the courier before you pay it.
Returning Woxer from the UK
For international orders, Woxer's help centre says you buy your own return label, send the parcel to its warehouse in Miami, and get a refund to your original payment method once it arrives, and that Woxer is not responsible for returns lost in the post. The return window is less clear: product pages say 45 days, and another help centre page says 180 days of delivery if it is your first order or your first time trying a style.
Woxer listings also appear on Amazon UK, but we could not read their prices or who sells them.
Buying TomboyX in the UK
TomboyX ships to the UK, and its website lists “United Kingdom (GBP £)” in its country selector, so UK shoppers see prices in pounds. TomboyX, sometimes written Tomboy X, says it detects your location and sets the country and currency for you.
TomboyX UK prices and sizes
With the site set to the UK on 5 October 2026, the 6 inch No Fly Boxer Briefs in black were £31 and the 9 inch Boxer Briefs in black £35. TomboyX women's boxer briefs come in 4.5, 6 and 9 inch lengths, mostly in 95% OEKO-TEX certified cotton and 5% spandex, with some in TENCEL Modal. Sizes run from XS to 6X, though the TENCEL Modal 6 inch Fly stops at 4X. TomboyX also sells period underwear and tucking underwear, which we do not make.
TomboyX delivery to the UK, and import charges
TomboyX's shipping policy gives international delivery as “Standard Courier: 4 to 7 business days. Express Courier (Air): 2 to 3 business days”, with the cost worked out in your cart. On import charges it is clearer than Woxer: “your checkout total includes all applicable duties and taxes, so you won't be charged any additional fees upon delivery.” We did not find a free shipping threshold for the UK.
Returning TomboyX from the UK
TomboyX's refund policy accepts returns within 30 days of purchase, as long as they are unworn, unwashed, undamaged and in their original packaging. For international orders you pay the return postage, the shipping, duties and taxes on your original order are not refunded, and you can have a refund but not an exchange. TomboyX listings also appear on Amazon UK; we could not read their prices.
Woxer vs TomboyX for UK buyers
For a UK buyer, TomboyX is simpler at checkout and Woxer is more forgiving afterwards. TomboyX includes import charges in the price and goes up to 6X, but you have 30 days to return unworn pairs and cannot exchange. Woxer has more lengths in modal and a longer returns window on its product pages, but it says it does not collect import charges, and every return goes back to the US at your cost.

Chaffree is a UK brand that sells KnickerBoxers in short (6 inch) and long (8 inch) legs, with a midi or full waist, in COOLMAX fabric (it does not give percentages), in UK sizes 6 to 34. Prices run from £22.99 to £94.99 depending on the pack, and UK postage is £4.49 second class or £4.99 first class. Its returns policy says it cannot accept underwear once it has been tried on.
Boody Seamfree Undershort 6"
Boody UK sells its 6 inch Seamfree Undershort at £18, in 79% viscose made from bamboo, 15% nylon and 6% elastane, in XS to 4XL, which Boody maps to UK 6 to 22. UK shipping is free over £45, and only unopened intimates can be returned. Our Boody underwear review goes into the detail.
Step One Women's Body Shorts
Step One UK sells Women's Body Shorts at £15, with most colours at £9 in its sale when we checked on 8 October 2026, in 95% bamboo viscose and 5% spandex, in XS to 4XL, with free UK shipping and a 30 day first pair guarantee. It does not give a leg length, and its size chart stops at 2XL. Our Step One comparison has more.
Import charges on underwear from the US: what the UK rules say
On an order of £135 or less, the overseas seller should include UK VAT in the price you pay at checkout. GOV.UK says that if you bought the goods yourself and they are not excise goods, the seller will have included VAT in the total you paid.
Above £135, you pay VAT to the delivery company before the parcel is delivered or when you collect it, and customs duty can apply on top, charged on the price plus postage, packaging and insurance. Royal Mail, Parcelforce or the courier will send you a bill if anything is owed.
If you send goods back, you can ask for the VAT or duty to be refunded: form BOR 286 if Royal Mail or Parcelforce delivered them, or form C285 for any other courier. The government also plans to end the customs duty relief on parcels of £135 or less “by March 2029 at the latest”, so these rules may change.
What we will not tell you
We will not tell you that Woxer or TomboyX underwear is worse than Flissie women's bamboo boxer shorts: we have not worn it, so we cannot judge it. We will not tell you which fabric is softest either, because modal, cotton and bamboo viscose all have fans, and softness is something you feel, not something we can verify for you. That is also why we do not repeat softness comparisons from product pages, Woxer's included. And we will not call bamboo viscose antibacterial or hypoallergenic: the antimicrobial compound sometimes cited for raw bamboo does not survive the viscose manufacturing process.

- You want a fly. TomboyX makes 6 inch boxer briefs with a fly; ours have none.
